The History of our Club.
The club was formed back in May of 1973 as an all-breed,
not-for-profit, American Kennel Club member delegate club and was called the Greater Freeport Illinois Kennel Club.
The name was changed to the Rockford-Freeport Illinois Kennel Club in April 2007 and we have expanded our territory to now
include both Winnebago and Stephenson Counties in Northern Illinois with active membership in several other counties and states.
Every year we have a Match show the 3rd Sunday in March and our All Breed Dog show is the last weekend in September.
We meet at monthly dinner meetings (see Next Club Meeting Tab on the navigation bar) and encourage anyone to join us.
